The Care Direct Advance is a hospital-designed castellated pressure redistribution mattress, trusted across NHS wards, care homes, and all healthcare settings.
The CMHR foam interior is divided into three separate sections — head, heel, and sacrum — each containing soft castellated cells that respond independently to patient movement. This design protects the most vulnerable anatomical sites against tissue trauma and is equally effective for supine, prone, and side-sleeping positions.
Firm side walls assist with safe patient transfers, while a reinforced firm base contributes to the Advance’s impressive 39-stone (250 kg) maximum weight capacity — one of the highest available in this category.
The multi-stretch, removable, and washable polyurethane cover (255 GSM) provides vapour permeability, chlorine resistance (1,000 ppm/0.1%), and ongoing antimicrobial protection via Sanitized Clariant Benelux treatment. Welded seams prevent fluid ingress.
Certified to Crib 5 (BS7177:2008), OEKO-TEX Class 1, and produced as a Carbon Neutral product. X-ray translucent cover included as standard. Backed by a 2-year warranty.
Suitable for buyers procuring high-capacity pressure care mattresses for bariatric patients and high-risk clinical environments.
